TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Gerindra party board chairman Ferry Juliantono suggested a second meeting between the Gerindra chief patron Prabowo Subianto and President-elect Joko Widodo would improve the reconciliation process. The second meeting can become a session to share ideas.

“I think that Pak Jokowi and Pak Prabowo will meet again if there is a chance. Hopefully, there will be discussion about programs,” said Ferry at D’consulate lounge, in Wahid Hasyim, Saturday, July 27.

He viewed that reconciliation was about sharing ideas and thoughts such as the concern on radical Islam or domination of certain economy group. Besides, Prabowo could also give his inputs for governmental programs in the future.

According to Ferry, to obtain a better reconciliation result, a second meeting between the rivals at the presidential election should happen. He added that Prabowo should even meet other political party leaders, so a chance to meet the Vice President-elect Ma’ruf Amin would also be opened.

“I think, there should be (a second meeting between the two figures),” he said.

He even said that the reconciliation could further open chances to share power if Jokowi is opened to Prabowo’s ideas, and vice versa.
